  About Wren Waterjet Technologies

Wren Waterjet Technologies Inc. opened in December 2001, specializing in custom Abrasive Waterjet Cutting serving a multitude of manufacturing industries.

Abrasive waterjet is capable of cutting nearly all materials from the hardest metal alloys to soft foam.  The advantage waterjet has over conventional machining processes (laser, plasma, milling etc.) is that there is no heat effected zone, therefore no distortion at the edge.  Waterjet also offers excellent edge quality vs. other machining methods.

The machine table cutting size is 48" x 96" and up to 10" thickness under the jet.  The tool radius is 0.022".  Accuracy to +/- 0.003”.  Pressures up to 55,000 psi.

AutoCAD lt 2002
is the drawing programme used for the creation of part geometry (.dwg format), which can easily be converted to .dxf format in order to develop the tool path.  Flow Path & Flow Cut is the software installed in the Flow A-Series waterjet machine and as a second seat on the office computer.  Microsoft Office, Simply Accounting, Norton Antivirus, Outlook Express and Internet Explorer programmes are also being utilized.

We have 3 personal computers networked  with a UPS capable of giving up to 20 minutes of back up power.

Shop equipment includes a 5000 lb. capacity lift truck with side shift, 5 hp air compressor, 2400 sq. ft. manufacturing shop (30' x 80') with grade level entry loading facility located in an industrial unit situated approx 10 minutes from the 401.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
